ALUBIJID, Misamis Oriental (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-10 Training Provider Cagayan de Oro (Bugo) School of Arts and Trades (COBSAT) in collaboration with the Rotary Club and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Alubijid conducted skills training in Spanish Sardines Making to a total of thirty-four (34) Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), here.
As part of the TESDA-10’s support to the annual 44th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) celebration, PWDs through TESDA skills training provisions are trained in various livelihood skills related courses to capacitate and empower individuals in the development of their communities.
Spanish Sardines Making was chosen by the beneficiaries as their livelihood program since milkfish is the municipality’s most traded product in their local market.
TESDA Misamis Oriental Supervising TESDA Specialist Penny P. Labuanan said that the training is only one of the ways TESDA-10 is supporting PWDs and assured that their programs are always open throughout the year to interested individuals regardless of their disabilities.
