CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — The Out-of-School Youth Development Alliance (OSYDA) of Cagayan de Oro City and the Oro Youth Development Office conduct today, September 5, the Kahigayónan Skills Training Expo and Job Fair at the Ricardo E. Rotoras Memorial Hall, University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines (USTP), here.
Some 40 local employers and ten companies for overseas job are present to conduct the job fair.
In today's expo, City Scholarship Office is set to conduct orientation on its services, while University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines is already accepting applicants for its free digital skills training. Moreover, to offer their livelihood and entrepreneurial assistance programs, Department of Agriculture - Region 10 will be introducing its entepreneurial online courses and Department of Trade and Industry - Region 10 will have its Youth Entrepreneurship Program orientation.
Moreover, Cagayan de Oro City Technical Vocational Institute will have a demo in relation to Housekeeping NC II, Barangay Health Service NC II and showcase electrical installation and maintenance (EIM) NC II, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) NC II, Plumbing NC I, and Carpentry NC II. Jamaican F & B Training and Assessment Center on the other hand will have a demo on its Barista NC II offering. Further, Monark Foundation, Toyota Cagayan de Oro and Philippine Call Center Institute will have an in-house enrollment.
These are just some of the things applicants and visitors could expect from today's activity of OSYDA and OYDO.
This activity is in line with celebration of Youth Month. On the afternoon, there would be Oro Youth Month Culmination activity dubbed as Kasadya 2022. (PIA10/IJBDayo)
