MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration's over-arching theme, "Transforming public service in the next decade: Honing agile and future-ready servant-heroes,” is revealing the resilience of civil servants who persevered enough to render what is necessary for the citizens of the country.
Rannia Ambor, the local city assessor officer here, stated that the theme which would be lasting for a decade is a reflection of a collective experience of the government workforce in the new normal.
She stressed that such is manifesting how public servants push for digital transformation and innovation to uphold excellence and continuity of public service.
Ambor further underscored that in the case of the Islamic City, the resiliency of public servants has been exhibited especially during the tragic siege in 2017 followed by the global coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic.
“For the interest of public service, we had all shown our readiness to accept challenges and ability to give continued assistance to the public,” she said.
As moments pass by, Ambor said the city which she saw as agile enough is leaning towards betterment.
“We are still looking upon rooms for improvement for us to lead building a smart organization and future-ready civil service,” she said. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
