70th Araw ng ZamboSur showcases best agri-aqua products

PAGADIAN CITY, Sept 15 (PIA)--The Agri-Aqua Trade Fair, showcasing the best of ZamboSur’s products, is currently held at the activity area of Zambo-Suroy site, Brgy. Dao, Pagadian City along with the celebration of the 70th Araw ng Zamboanga del Sur (ZDS). Around 40 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) joined the event as exhibitors to display and sell various agri-fishery products.  

Farmers’ Cooperative and Associations (FCA) and some individuals supported by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in various capacities & modalities are among the exhibitors, including the Young Farmers' Challenge Program awardees, AgriBata Brand from Dumingag, and Superfruit Blend from Pagadian City, and the Enhanced KADIWA Program recipient, Baclay MPC of Tukuran with their notable 'The Dairy Box' booth.

Fresh & processed organic-grown products are available in the booths of Zamboanga del Sur Organic Producers and Consumers Association (ZSOPCA) of Tigbao, Organic Trading Post of Dumingag, and Madiskarteng Magsasaka Association of Labangan.

Also, displaying their best products for the buying public are Pagadian City’s former AgriVENTA exhibitors like Green Meadow and Nutribooster Phils as well as Ramon Magsaysay’s CIV-CABEFAMCO.

Moreover, the best chocolates from MIFAMCO of Midsalip are available at the fair along with the best coconut handicrafts from the Bulawan Small Coconut Farmers Organization (SCFO) of  Lapuyan.

The display of Agri-fishery products of the MSMEs from the province will be on the above-named site until September 17, 2022, together with the DA-RFO 9 booth which is giving out a limited number of vegetable seed packs every day to backyard garden enthusiasts and free info materials to the interested visitors.
