CAVITE CITY, (PIA) – The Cavite city government led by Mayor Denver Chua recently turned over the newly constructed building to house the city’s Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel on September 13.
Mayor Chua welcomed guest of honor and speaker, PNP Chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. who led the inauguration and blessing ceremonies.
Witnessing the event were acting Provincial Police Office Director, Officer-In-Charge, Police Colonel Christopher F. Olazo, and Acting Local PNP Chief Police Lt. Colonel Jerry Corpuz.
Acknowledging the persons behind the success of the construction of the new Cavite City PNP headquarters, Mayor Chua said, “The building was materialized through the support of the local government of Cavite City in line with the modernization program of the PNP towards the improvement of all police stations nationwide for effective policing.”
Meanwhile, PNP Chief PGen. Azurin, Jr. expressed the police force’s commitment in his message saying, “The inauguration and blessing of the new building of Cavite City Police Station serve as a commitment to sustaining our affirmative response to the call of public service in the pursuance of ‘Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan, Tungo sa Kaunlaran or M+K+K=K.”
He added, “Ang inagurasyon ng bagong building ay nagpapakita lamang ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng iba't- ibang ahensya ng ating pamahalaan.”
(The inauguration of the new building only shows the unity and cooperation of the various agencies of our government.)
On the other hand, Col. Olazo expressed his heartfelt and sincere gratitude for the support of the city government for the construction of the new city PNP station.
“This new building would give a better quality of service to the public. This will also boost the morale of the members of the Cavite police,” said Col. Olazo.
