PCSO Chief Junie Cua graces Panagdadapun 2022

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - Former Representative Junie E. Cua of the lone district of Quirino, now the chairperson of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) served as the guest speaker of the just-concluded 51st Founding Anniversary and Panagdadapun Festival of the province.

Cua said he is no longer an official but an ordinary citizen of the province but as he had promised, he will not stop serving the Quirinians and all the Filipinos as one who represents the administration of the newly - elected president, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.  a president whom 31 million Filipinos elected and who rallied the people behind a slogan and theme- unity.

PCSO Chair and Former Representative of the province Junie E. Cua says compared to the previous years, the province of Quirino truly progress because of the unity and political stability that every Quirinians have built.

“It is same aspiration and dream that the Quirinians share ever since this humble representation started our journey together as one family of Quirinian towards progress and development, and most especially progress and development with justice and peace. And on the occasion of our 51 years after its birth, 35 years after I started my journey in shepherding, nurturing, and leading this province, we now see the fruits of this unity, cooperation and solidarity,” Cua said.

Cua further said the many changes that that are happening around are testimony of the fruits of what the Quirinians have fought together as one family with unity, solidarity, and teamwork.

“Before, this province was a third class, one of the poorest provinces in the country, a member of the so-called 20 poorest provinces. But today, we see the physical transformation of our province. We have built roads in the most far-flung, isolated barangays, and even sitios. We have established schools in practically all corners of our community. We have delivered the social services and protection network that our people need,” the former solon said.

Cua urged the Quirinians to continue working as one, to sustain the political stability and unity which had become the key and the foundation of continuous progress of the province.

As the new PCSO chairperson, Cua said PCSO will be strongly represented in every corner of the country, not to encourage the people into gambling but a strong presence of network that will help them access the medical assistance program of PCSO, the principal gov't agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance.

“We must and we are trying to do and fulfill the marching order of the President that for those who have less in life, they should have more in government service. We must raise more funds, more resources so that we can widen our services to our people. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)

As the appointed PCSO Chairperson, Junie E. Cua says that they shall raise more funds and resources so that they can widen their services to Filipino people.
