 DAR  assists more ARBOs to boost productivity, marketing services 

  

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - A farmers’ organization in Mayoyao town received machineries, equipment and inputs from the Department of Agrarian Reform- Cordillera Administrative Region (DAR – CAR) recently to boost productivity.


DAR-CAR OIC Regional Director Estrellita Briones and DAR - Ifugao Provincial Agrarian Reform Project Officer II   Raul C. Laluan turned over to the Mapawoy Agrarian Reform Farmers Organization (MARFO) the assistance worth P301,830.00  last  September 7.


The assistance is under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) project of the DAR that aims to enhance and sustain the agricultural productivity of DAR-assisted organizations and to uplift the lives of its members.


Meanwhile, DAR-Ifugao facilitated the signing of marketing agreements between Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) and government offices under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EHAP) Program.


The marketing agreement is a legal contract that defines the relationship between a business and a party stating  what marketing services will be provided, how much these services will cost, who owns the IP of the work product created, how they will use and share data, among others.


Among the marketing agreements recently signed are between Panubtuban Multi Purpose Cooperative   with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Kiangan ; San Quintin Rural Improvement Club in Alfonso Lista and LGU –Potia District Hospital , and  the United Family Multi-Purpose Cooperative and the Alfonso Lista District Jail.   These institutional partners are steady market for the ARBOs for their products.    (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
