BALANGA CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a multi-purpose building at barangay A. Rivera in Hermosa, Bataan.

P4.8 million was spent for the project which was implemented by DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineering Office 

District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said both officials and residents will benefit from the facility which features a new session hall for its local council and enough space to serve as a venue for community events. 

For her part, Barangay Captain Doreta Ocampo expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to build the facility. 

“Gumanda po ang aming barangay hall, malaking kaginhawahan dahil yung dating barangay hall namin mababa lang pag bumabaha may gusto mang magpunta hindi magawa, ngayon pag mag rerescue kami maganda na ang pagdadalhan namin hindi na doon sa covered court sa plaza," she said.

The multi-purpose building can also be used as a temporary shelter during disaster and other emergency situations. (CLJD-PIA 3)
