DPWH concretes rural road in Llanera

CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) concreted a rural road in Llanera, Nueva Ecija.

The 1.695-lane kilometer infrastructure located in barangay Bosque will provide residents with a wider and safer route when traveling.

Nueva Ecija 1st Assistant District Engineer Osias Santos disclosed that P9.9-million was allotted for the project. “This assures farmers of efficient travel as they tend to their crops and deliver agricultural machinery to their farmlands,” he added.

“Before, the unpaved road hindered the mobility and daily activities of the locals, and during the rainy season, the old road becomes muddy and unsafe for travel. Pero ngayong sementado na, makakatulong ‘to para sa mas mabilis na biyahe ng mga magsasaka, lalo na ‘pag anihan, mapapagaan at mapapabilis ang delivery ng mga produkto nila,” Santos shared.

For his part, District Engineer Armando Manabat said there are still local roads that have yet to be improved.

“Our office is working hard to provide agricultural communities with better road networks and we are aware that much more needs to be done to ensure that our farmers coming from the far-flung areas of Llanera will have seamless travel to market centers,” he furthered.

DPWH continues to invest in rural infrastructure to fill the gaps that will improve the lives of farmers in the first and second districts of the province. (CLJD-PIA 3)
