LUPPO celebrates 121st PNP anniversary

SAN FERNANDO CITY (PIA) – The La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) celebrated on Monday the 121st Police Service Anniversary with the theme “Serbisyong Makatotohanan, handog ng pulisya sa ating pamayanan.”

La Union Governor Raphaelle Veronica A. Ortega-David graced the occasion as the guest of honor and speaker.

In her message, David extended her gratitude and offered the snappiest salute to the men and women of the LUPPO headed by PCOL Lambert A. Suerte.

“Because of your hard work, we have maintained no insurgency, decreasing criminality, increasing the number of drug-cleared municipalities and barangays, and high crime clearance and solution efficiency,” the governor said.

She likewise urged the police force “to have a never ending pursuit for greatness” and be inspired by the example of Suerte, officer-in-charge of LUPPO, as he was recently named one of the Ten Outstanding Filipinos by Metrobank Foundation for his effective and productive leadership.

“With our provincial director being an advocate of social responsibility and welfare, may the men and women of the Philippine National Police (PNP) be inspired to go further and serve beyond their respective call of duty,” David said.
