'Project KaBadang' goes to Ballayangon, Pinukpuk

PINUKPUK, Kalinga(PIA) - - The 1st  Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company’s (KPMFC) best practice “Project KaBadang”  has reached out to households and school children in Ballayangon, this  town .

 One hundred thirty families received assorted groceries while pupils from Ballayangon Elementary School and Aguimitan Elementary School received 177 sets of school supplies and 50 pairs of slippers.
 The distributed items were donated by personnel of the 1st KPMFC and its Company Advisory Council, and CVR3 Kalinga Eagles Region.

The activity conducted in September 24 was part of the “whole of nation approach” to win the hearts and support of communities on the government’s war against communist terrorist groups. It was also a venue to impart to the youth and students the value of education supported through the signing of a manifesto titled “Edukasyon Hindi Rebolusyon. Papel Hindi Bala. No to Youth Exploitation. School children were also treated with games.
 
Lectures were delivered on fire safety awareness; anti-insurgency; role of youth in nation building; programs for the welfare of persons deprive of liberty, and anti-criminality campaign and crime prevention. There was also a tree planting activity.

The outreach was in collaboration with the Cagayan Valley Region 2 Kalinga Eagles, 50 Infantry Battalion Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire Protection -Pinukpuk, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology -Kalinga, religious sector, PIA-Kalinga, Cordillera Youth Brigade, and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo or KKDAT.
  
Punong Barangay Marilyn M. Wansi expressed her gratitude and commended the efforts and initiative of the 1st Kalinga PMFC and other stakeholders in providing services at their barangay.
 
“Akas ina ti ili mi nga Ballayangon ket dakkel nga yaman mi iti serbisyo nga inpa-ay yu ditoy ili mi ta maysa kami nga napili yu nga beneficiary toy Project KABADANG yu. Sapay kuma ta hankayu maum-uma nga tumulong iti ili mi ken iti daduma py nga kakailyan. Namnama-en yu met ti suporta mi iti inya man nga programa ti Kapulisan nangnangrununa iti maipaggep iti panagtalinaed ti talna ken kapya toy ili tayo a Kalinga,” she said.
 

Barangay Ballayangon was cleared from CTG influence by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and is now an End Local Communist Armed Conflict covered area.  (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
