Peace, order, dev't is everybody's business, says LDSPPO director

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Every member of the community has a part to play in ensuring public safety and attaining progress and development, according to the director of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO)

During the provincial launching of the revitalized KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan), PCol. Jibin Bongcayao emphasized that providing a safe, orderly, and progressive community is the concern of every sector of society.

"Hindi kaya ng kapulisan na ipapatupad o ipapalaganap ang [the police cannot enforce or spread] peace and order without the help of the community, without the help of stakeholders without the help of the community, without the help of stakeholders," he said noting that some are not yet convinced that being collaborative and cooperative will contribute to peace and order and development.

He said every member of the community must stand and work together to fight all forms of criminalities and lawlessness.

'Hinihikayat ko ang lahat ng membro ng community na isaisip natin na ang peace and order, security and development ay everybody's business at kailangang pagtulung-tulungan natin ito," he further said.

[I encourage all members of the community to keep in mind that peace and order, security, and development is everybody's business and we need to work it on together.]

On the part of the PNP, Bongcayao said they have been intensifying efforts to push for a stronger partnership between the police and all sectors of society for the prevention of crime, promote public safety, and maintain peace and order.

"Kung meron kayong reklamo, police response or police services na kailangan ay [if you have a complaint or need a police response or police services] feel free to go to the nearest police station," he said assuring that the police officers under the command of LDSPPO are always ready to assist the public.
