CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - Isabela has provided free internet connectivity services to the Local Government Unit of Reina Mercedes in this province.

DICT Isabela head Cirilo Gazzingan Jr said the provision of free internet services is part of the department's 'Free Wifi For All Project'.

Gazzingan added that the DICT is continuously providing internet connectivity to all local government units including the establishment of Tech4Ed centers as the department recognizes the vital role of Information and Communication Technology in providing the Filipino people the access to opportunities in education, information and the ability to participate in the growing digital economy through free internet in public places nationwide.

The offices and areas that were provided with free internet connectivity in Reina Mercedes were the Municipal Gymnasium, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Municipal Plaza. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
