PAGADIAN CITY, Sept. 30 (PIA) – Around 121 exhibitors will participate in the Zamboanga Peninsula Exposition (ZAMPEX) 2022 which will be held at KCC Mall, Zamboanga City this October 6 to 9 with the theme "Rediscover, Rise and Reap" .

Thus, disclosed Flora Miraflor, the provincial director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the 'Kapihan sa PIA' program held recently.

Miraflor said that ZAMPEX 2022 includes trade fair and exhibits, business matching, showcase of investment opportunities and tourism attractions of local government units (LGUs) and daily raffle, demonstrations, seminars and tours.

She added that the products of Micro-Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Zamboanga Peninsula made of raw materials that are available in their respective provinces will be exhibited during the event.

ZAMPEX, Miraflor said is a way that MSMEs can be assisted to showcase their new and amazing products while celebrating the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival and to link MSMEs with the potential institutional buyers from other regions.

"MSMEs are the ones that provide income, employment, job and livelihood opportunities to our workers. As the demand for their products increases, their manpower requirements will also increase," said Miraflor.

She said that the increase in investment opportunities will not only happen to MSMEs but also to suppliers and therefore, it will result in an increase in income and sales in the value chain of the particular industry.

Secretary Alfred Pascual and Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona are scheduled to grace the opening ceremony on October 6 and will also attend the press conference with local media practitioners.
