ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Sept 30 (PIA) – The regional government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) brought its programs and services to Basileños on Friday (Sept. 30) during the Convergence Caravan dubbed “Project Tabang” in Lamitan City.
Thousands of Basileños trooped to the BARMM Complex in Sta. Clara, Lamitan City carrying their hopes to avail programs and services from different ministers in the bangsamoro region.
Shahid Akbara, Community Development Officer of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) said that 5,000 Basileños were initially given coupon to avail of government services like health care, livelihood programs, educational assistance and other humanitarian services.
During the program, Governor Jim Salliman in his message, said that despite of some challenges especially posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, he assured the support of the provincial government in all the programs for the Bangsamoro people especially to Basileños.
“Kahit anong krisis na dadaanan natin at kahit anong crisis na kakaharapin natin, ang provincial government ng Basilan po ay taos-pusong magsuporta kahit na anong programa ang kakaharapin natin lalung-lalo na kung para sa mga taga Basilan,” Governor Salliman said.
He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and other ministers in going to Basilan to bring their programs and services.
“Maraming maraming salamat po Chief Minister sa pagpunta ninyo dito. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng ministers na walang sawang magsuporta sa mga programa ng provincial government para sa mga mamamayan ng Basilan,” he expressed.
