PhilHealth advises WV members, dependents to register with KonSulTa providers

ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) or PhilHealth is calling on its members and dependents in Western Visayas to register with preferred KonSulTa providers and avail of their services.

“With PhilHealth KonSulta or Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama benefit package, members are entitled to avail of the services of health care professionals such as initial and follow-up consultation, health screening and assessment, laboratory examinations, and the prescribed drugs and medicines,” PhilHealth acting regional vice president Janet Monteverde said in an advisory.

KonSulTa program is a more comprehensive primary care benefit package that may be availed of by PhilHealth members and their declared dependents in their accredited facility of choice.

Registration may be done through the nearest PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) or through self-registration via PhilHealth Member Portal which can be accessed at www.philhealth.gov.ph.

PhilHealth noted that it is important for its members to register in a Konsulta facility as it is mandated by the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law.

This is the means of the government to ensure that every Filipino have a medical professional to attend to their health needs and to have continuity of care through a referral from the Konsulta facility.

For Western Visayas, PhilHealth 6 announced that all provinces have their respective partner KonSulTa package providers with a total of 72 facilities, as of September 23, 2022.

The province of Aklan has 10 facilities including its various municipal health offices and rural health units; Antique and Guimaras have seven KonSulTa providers each; Capiz and Negros Occidental with 13 each; and Iloilo with 22 facilities.

The complete list of the institutional providers on other PhilHealth benefit packages and programs is also available at their official website www.philhealth.gov.ph/ providers.

For any concerns related to this package, PhilHealth members and dependents are advised to contact their nearest LHIO or send an email to accre.pro6@philhealth.gov.ph. (JBG/FRG/PIA6/Photos courtesy of PhilHealth Region 6)
