PNP: ‘KASIMBAYANAN’ key to lasting peace

DIPOLOG CITY, Oct. 5 (PIA) - Peace efforts are gaining momentum in Zamboanga del Norte province with the launching of revitalized PNP “KASIMBAYANAN”, held here recently.

The Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office (ZNPPO) joined the rest of the country in launching the KASIMBAYANAN program, which stands for Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan.

Church leaders coming from various religious groups, local chief executives of the different cities and towns, advocacy groups, partner agencies and other stakeholders in the community vowed collaborative support to the police force in strengthening peace, order and progress in the community.

The participants during the recital of the pledge of commitment concurred to “fervently support the PNP as it strives to build stronger ties and bridge gaps by working closely with the members of various sectors, stakeholders and partners of the communities and promote a synergized partnership as we address the immediate conditions on public safety issues such as crime, social disorder and fear of crime."

They have also signed the oath and pinned a KASIMBAYANAN pin button as among the highlights of event. (RVC/EDT/PIA Zamboanga del Norte)
