SAN FERNANDO CITY (PIA) – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 1 through the Civil Service Commission will hold the Fire Officer Examination (FOE) on October 23.
The FOE, through Examination Advisory No. 6, s. 2022, aims to establish eligibility to be appointed to second-level ranks in the BFP.

“Nag-umpisa po ang application natin noong August 18 to September 1. So, natapos na ang ating application period kaya waiting nalang tayo sa examination,” SSupt. Eddie F. Jucutan, deputy regional director for administration of BFP Region 1, said.
Jucutan added, “Ang usually na target na iha-hire natin is ranging from 120 to 140. Yun po ang kadalasan na nirerequire natin na numbers ng applicants natin.”
Moreover, he reiterated that all applicants must strictly meet the qualification requirements.
“Ang basic requirements naman po ng applicants ay dapat Filipino citizen who possesses a baccalaureate degree from respective courses with age bracket of 21 to 30 years old, with 5 ft. height for female and 5’2” for male,” he said.
Qualified applicants who hold Career Service Professional Eligibility, RA 1080 Eligibility (Bar, Board exams), and Honor Graduate Eligibility under P.D. 907, among others, automatically proceed with their application.
The CSC reported a total of 3,115 applicants in Region 1 who will take the FOE in two testing units of San Fernando City, La Union particularly: Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University- Mid La Union Campus and La Union National High School.
