CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – To encourage performance and recognize achievements of barangay workers, the municipal government of Gloria distributed over the weekend cash incentives for Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of said municipality.
At least 286 individuals who served as frontliners in providing basic health services in the barangay received cash incentives from the local government.
According to Mayor German D. Rodegerio, barangay workers play a vital role in accomplishing the primary health care of the barangay towards health empowerment especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Led by the local chief executive, the Municipal Treasurer’s Office headed by Kareen M. Macabio worked together in the distribution of the third quarter incentives to the beneficiaries covering the months of July to September 2022.
The 27 BNS received P3,600 each, 54 BHERTs received P2,100 each and the 205 BHWs received P1,500 each.
With these incentives, the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the local government for continuously giving them support to their group. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
