New Iloilo police director assumes post

ILOILO CITY (PIA) - - Police Colonel Noel Calderon Aliño took the helm as the new provincial director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) on Monday, October 10.

Aliño, the Chief of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 6, replaced outgoing IPPO director Police Col. Adrian Villalobos Accollador.

In a press report, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 said the Philippine National Police Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City sent a memorandum from TADPRM dated October 10 for the termination of designations of two provincial directors in Western Visayas including Acollador.

PRO 6 regional director, Police Brigadier General Leo M. Francisco, said in a statement that the relief of Accollador came after the series of shooting incidents that happened in the province of Iloilo.

“I have instructed PCol. Aliño to have an eagle’s eye on the series of incidents that happened in Iloilo Province, I want an immediate result,” said Francisco in the PRO 6 report.

Acollador will be assigned to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) while waiting for his new assignment/designations. (JBG/laf/PIA6-Iloilo/Story and photos from PRO6 PIO)
