ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) -- Undersecretary and Philippine Information Agency director general Ramon Lee Cualoping III was in Roxas City, Oct. 12, for a courtesy call on local officials, meet and greet with local mediamen and monitoring of the agency's rightsizing implementation.

He met and talked with Capiz Gov. Fredenil Castro, who warmly welcomed him at the Provincial Capitol, to formally thank the provincial government for a free office space for the PIA Capiz Information Center at the Capiz Government and Business Center.
The top PIA official has also paid a courtesy visit on Roxas City mayor Ronnie Dadivas at the Roxas City Hall that is a walk away from the Capitol.
Cualoping made a brief talk with Roxas City administrator Lorie Belle Usison and City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Ronald Amigo after a visit to the Information Center to check on the staff and the office.
During a engagement with local mediamen, he noted that the PIA will look
into the welfare of the media practitioners especially that the pandemic and competition have affected their revenues and audience share.
“We will make it happen the aspect of ensuring that media is taken care of by the government,” Cualoping stressed.
The local mediamen are an active partner of the PIA in the province in development communication and public service.
