Tanza LGU, SM top officials lead 7th supermall grand opening

TANZA, Cavite (PIA) – Tanza local government officials headed by Mayor Yuri A. Pacumio and Vice Mayor Simon Matro together with SM Supermalls President Steve Tan, SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim, SM Supermarkets Chair Herbert SY along with 7th District Board Member Ping Remulla led the grand opening of SM Supermall Tanza this October 13.

SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim said, “We are excited to welcome everyone to SM City Tanza as this marks another milestone and partnership between SM Prime and the Province of Cavite, specifically with the Municipality of Tanza.”

To date, SM City Tanza is the 80th mall in the country and the 7th supermall opened in the province after SM City Bacoor, SM City Dasmariñas, SM City Molino, SM City Rosario, SM City Trece Martires, and SM Center Imus.

The mall and its various establishments will be a catalyst for employment and business opportunities to the people of Tanza that will highly contribute to the town’s economy.

"Natutuwa ako ang daming employed na kababayan nateng Tanzeño, Maraming salamat po sa SM Holding Corp. by putting up SM City Tanza, Iba yung may SM sa isang bayan, lalong dumadami ang investors, sana magtuloy-tuloy and dumami pa ang magtiwala sa Bayan ng Tanza," Mayor Yuri Pacumio said in interview.

Likewise, Mr. Lim enthused, “With the continuous improvement in our local economy, we hope that SM City Tanza will be an avenue of opportunities for local MSMEs to grow as well as for local employment to prosper and drive progress not only in Tanza but in the whole province of Cavite.”

Strategically located in an 86,718 sqm site along Antero Soriano Highway, the two-story mall would cater to shoppers in the north-western areas of Cavite as well as in nearby localities in Batangas province.

SM City Tanza’s major anchors are SM Store and SM Supermarket along with SM Appliance Center, ACE Hardware, Watsons, Surplus, Uniqlo, Pet Express, Miniso, Levi’s, and Crocs. It will also have, fashion boutiques, jewellery stores, bookstores, as well as service and wellness centers.

Fast food chains for eating out options include the Food court, Kenny Rogers, Panda Express, Bon Chon, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Mary Grace Café, Breadtalk, J. Co Donuts and Coffee, and Starbucks while specialty restaurants Mesa, Botejyu, The Great Buddha Café, Marugame Udon and Tempura, and Crustasia Asian Bistro are ready to serve.

For fun and entertainment, the mall will also have five state-of-the-art cinemas and a Cyberzone for techie enthusiasts.

Wide parking space of 800 slots was provided to assure customer shopping convenience, and will also have public transport terminals for inter-province, and inter-region travel that will further boost tourism and commerce in the area.
