PRO-Cor welcomes 200 new police officers

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) -- The Police Regional Office - Cordillera welcomed 200 newly appointed patrolmen and patrolwomen in the police service  in the region.

PROCor  Deputy Regional Director for Administration PBGen John Chua administered the oath-taking of the newly appointed police personnel  in a ceremony held at Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa in this town  last October 14.

The new policemen and women were presented by PROCor Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit Chief PLTCol. Richard Albon while Regional Personnel Records and Management Division Chief PCol. Glenn Lonogan read their appointment orders.

Ceremonial awarding of their automated teller machine cards was also held thru the Landbank of the Philippines and Regional Finance Service Office-Cordillera Chief PCol. Liza Macapinlac.

Chua challenged the new patrolmen and patrolwomen to prove their worth as members of the PNP organization.

“Now, I am challenging every one of you to prove to us that you are all worthy of joining the PNP organization. Wear our uniform with vigor, strong-willed determination and of course, above all with integrity,” Chua said.

The traditional reception rite for the newly appointed cops was conducted following the oath taking ceremony. It was facilitated by the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division with the assistance of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15.

The reception rite is part of the customs and traditions, not just to measure their physical strength, but to develop their camaraderie and determination to embrace the new life as new members of the police force.

The 200 newly appointed patrolmen and patrolwomen will now undergo six months of Public Safety Basic Recruit Course training and six months of Field Training Program as part of their preparation as police officers. (JDP/RMC- PIA-CAR)  Photos by   PROCor
