BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- Baguio City Representative Marquez Go reported his accomplishments on his First 100 Days anchored on his 10-point agenda.
"In many Asian cultures, an infant’s 100th day is a celebrated milestone and it is believed that how the day is celebrated will determine the future of the baby. We can’t possibly know for sure what the future holds, but I hope that our work during our first 100 days sufficiently displays the kind of commitment, passion, and service our people expect, and our people deserve," Go said during his First 100 Days Report on Monday (October 17).
Go reported that he was able to file 37 bills including House Bill 991 which seeks to strengthen the Commission on Higher Education, HB 1440 that seeks to reduce the excise tax on certain petroleum products to ease the burden on Filipino motorists and consumers, among others.
"These are some of what we have accomplished in Congress during our first 100 days in office and we shall continue to strive in giving meaning to our words as we serve in our third term in office,"he assured.
"The 10-point agenda is merely the beginning of what we wish to accomplish within the next three years, and we have already gone beyond the 10 points in our first 100 days," the lawmaker stated.
His 10-point agenda include: to continue leading by example, acting with integrity, serving with passion and compassion, performing with competence and delivering results; establish more inclusive scholarship programs; enhance Baguio's health services and facilities; institute measures to address Baguio's land and housing problems; and institute social service programs to alleviate poverty.
Also in his agenda are to develop an infrastructure and facilities master plan for public elementary and high schools; establish environmental protection and sustainable development programs; continue corruption-free improvement of barangay and city infrastructure to improve quality of life; establish sustainable and developmental programs for specific sectors; and develop measures to reduce unemployment, provide skills training, generate livelihood opportunities and implement productivity incentive schemes.
