City Mayor Jerry Treñas recently signed Executive Order 85, wherein individuals who are partially or fully vaccinated are allowed to enter the public and private cemeteries and memorial parks starting 12 a.m. of October 31 until 11:59 p.m. of November 2, 2022, however, mandated to practice minimum public health standards to prevent the possible surge of COVID-19 transmission.
Alcoholic beverages, firearms, sharp objects, flammable materials, gambling activities, videoke, and overnight stay are strictly prohibited, the Order noted.
Accordingly, selling of flowers in designated areas are allowed to those who have secured special permits from the Business Permits and Licensing Division of the city government.
To note, the application of special permits will commence on October 20-28, 2022.
Meanwhile, the designated areas for flower selling include Rizal and Osmeña Streets in Arevalo district, M.H del Pilar St. in Molo, Iznart to Aldeguer and Rizal Streets in the City Proper area, and outside the premises of Jaro Plaza.
Treñas also instructed the Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) to ensure the free flow of traffic in the public places while the police auxiliary were tasked to augment the Philippine National Police (PNP) for peace and order. (JBG/LMLE/PIA Iloilo)
