BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Bambang Bypass Road Project in Bambang town is now 60.47 % accomplished.
DPWH Regional Director Nomer Abel Canlas said the P703.65 million project involves the construction of a 4-lane concrete road measuring a 13.4-meter carriageway width, 300-millimeter thickness with a total length of 5.423-kilometer including two concrete bridges and Road Right of Way (RROW) acquisition.
“Once completed, the travel time from Cagayan and Isabela to Manila will be reduced up to 20 minutes and it will benefit almost 25,000 travellers per day upon completion of the project,” he said.
Canlas said the project will provide safe and efficient highway system that will accelerate the delivery of local farm produce as well as the enhancement of tourism and economy in Nueva Vizcaya.
“It is seen to build new communities and provide livelihood opportunities for business development, tourism, employment, and socio-economic activities,” he said.
