La Union CSO conducts blood-letting activity

SAN FERNANDO CITY (PIA) – The La Union Coalition of Civil Society Organization (LUCCSO), Inc. in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross - La Union Chapter and Philippine Association of Medical Technologist- La Union, conducted a blood-letting activity here.

The blood donation drive on October 18 dubbed as "Project Dara: Dara para Agkaykaysa, Ranud para iti Amin” is part of a weeklong celebration of LUCCSO’s second-year anniversary.

LUCCSO was founded last year (2021) by Probinsyano Ako Partylist Representative Vini Ortega.

The La Union Coalition of Civil Society Organization (LUCCSO), Inc.'s blood-letting activity held on October 18 at the Robinson's Place, San Fernando, La Union, yielded a total of 30 bags of blood from employees of the Provincial Government of La Union, walk-ins and volunteers from other agencies.

The activity yielded 30 bags of blood from employees of the Provincial Government of La Union, walk-ins and volunteers from other agencies. Complimentary snacks and hand sanitizers which served as a token of appreciation were distributed to the qualified donors by the team.

Rust Ivan Munar, a first-time blood donor, encouraged everyone, especially the youth who have not experienced donating blood and those who have — to do so.

“Bilang first timer, napakasarap sa pakiramdam na kahit ganitong paraan ay makakatulong tayo sa ating mga kapwa Pilipino na madugtungan ang kanilang buhay,” said Munar.

The one-day activity was held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (JCR/JPD/KCR,PIA La Union)
