CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Social Security System (SSS) - Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) Luzon North 2 Division visited last week seven delinquent contribution evaders in the town of Tumauini and ordered to pay their employees’ contributions.

The team is composed of SSS Vice President for Luzon North 2 Porfirio Balatico and Legal Officer Atty. Vicente Sol Cuenca including the official of SSS Ilagan Branch Guadalupe Castillo.

Balatico said the RACE operations of SSS aims to compel the delinquent employers to pay the unremitted SSS contributions of their employees for several periods as assessed by SSS.

Balatico said the operations made in Tumauini is its second operations conducted in Northern Isabela, first of which was in the City of Ilagan in the first quarter of 2022.

He said the RACE operations will continue in the province to delinquent employers and in other parts of the region under the area of operations of SSS Luzon North 2 Division.

He said the regular remittance of SSS contributions of employees would ensure availment of benefits and loans.

Balatico called on all employers to regularly remit their employees’ contribution to SSS to avoid charges in violation to Republic Act 11199 otherwise known as Social Security Act of 2018.  (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
