DPWH-CAR assures continuous support to Cordillera PNP

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways - Cordillera (DPWH-CAR) assured its continuous support to the Police Regional Office - Cordillera (PRO-Cor).


"We join the people of Cordillera in supporting the PNP and PRO-Cor leadership and its crusade against those who intend to inflict harm and disorder within our midst," DPWH-CAR Regional Director Khadaffy Tanggol assured during the 121st Police Service Anniversary at Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad on October 24.

Tanggol also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the PRO-Cor for diligently assisting the agency during emergencies and calamities especially in the conduct of road clearing operations.
 
He said that bayanihan is very evident within the PRO-Cor that aside from their task in maintaining public order and managing public safety, they expand their police roles in public service.
 
"The tremendous risks and often unseen danger attached to your line of work are immensely daunting for many and yet, without hesitation, you continue to pursue your calling to serve and to protect others. That is bayanihan at its finest, where help is needed, PROCOR is always there," Tanggol said.

He also expressed his hopes for the continuation of the Agency's convergence program for the uniformed personnel.
 
Under the "Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad" (TIKAS) convergence program, the DPWH-CAR has 11 projects this year with a total allocation of P465.4 million.
 
"We truly hope that through the rehabilitation/repair of various roads and buildings/facilities of the PNP and the military, we can somewhat ease your burdens and repay the great service you are doing for our country," Tanggol stated.
 
The TIKAS project was conceptualized by former President Rodrigo Duterte to improve the landscape of PNP and military facilities in the country. (JDP/DEG-PIA CAR)
