ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) -- A barrio fiesta - inspired Farm School Day was conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd)-Schools Division in Roxas City, Oct. 22, to celebrate the initial gains of its farm school at Loctugan Integrated Farm School (LIFS) in Brgy. Loctugan, here.

The celebration dubbed "Pista sa Uma" included hospitality - based practices of fiesta hosts like "pang-abiabi kag pagbisita" or a warm welcome and a tour of guests to take pride on the achievements that have been worked hard for a particular time.

It also included a showcase of a bountiful harvest through the agricultural products exhibit, "Pamista" (lunch break), "Binayle sa Uma" or a benefit dance in a rural setting and a talkshow on farm school partner agencies which is an adaptation of hosts and guests exchange of pleasantries during meet ups on similar occasions, among others.
