PNPA to hold admission test in Bacolod, Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) will conduct its Cadet Admission Test (CAT) in Iloilo City and Bacolod City on October 29 and 30, respectively.

For Iloilo City, the examination will be held at Iloilo National High School in La Paz, while for Bacolod City, it will be conducted at Bacolod City National High School in Taculing.

Both exam schedules will start at 7:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon.

In a press release, Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Mary Grace Socorro D. Borio noted that there are 1,458 individuals who will take the exam, of whom 965 will take it in Iloilo City and the other 493 will be in Bacolod City.

She added that health protocols must be strictly observed during the examination such as the observance of physical distancing and the wearing of face masks.

Also, examinees are advised to bring with them 70% alcohol as a disinfectant, and their own pens, pencils, and erasers.

The PNPA cadetship program is a government scholarship program. It is a 4-year education and training program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety degree.

Graduates of this course will be appointed as Police Lieutenants in the PNP, Jail Inspectors in the BJMP, and Fire Inspectors in the BFP. (JBG/FRG/PIA6/Story and photos from PRO6-RPIO)
