NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur (PIA) – The local government of Naga through its City Council for the Welfare and Protection of Children (NCCWPC) will join and support the advocacy of upholding kid’s mental health rights and welfare as the 30th National Children Month Celebration kicks off this November.
With the theme, “Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata ating Tutukan!" the celebration aims to highlight children's rights to survival, development, protection, and participation.
It also encourages all government agencies to work together with other line agencies to improve children’s well-being, especially since the threats of the Covid-19 pandemic persist.
In the first week of November, tarpaulins for this national celebration are hung in barangay halls in the city.
The celebration will also begin through a parade called Lakaw Para sa Kaakian which is now in its sixth year on Saturday, November 5.
Enhancement training for the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children as well as the Children’s Congress are scheduled to take place on November 17 and 19 respectively.
The NCCWPC will also conduct strategic planning and workshops for the Local Council for the Protection of Children on November 23-24.
The amazing talents of the Naga kids will be showcased through the Children’s Got Talent on November 26.
The council will also deliver its State of the Children’s Report on November 28 to culminate the celebration.
The Naga city government also enjoins the public to take the oath of the Panatang Makabata during its flag raising ceremonies on Mondays. It also calls on every Nagueño to celebrate and support its activities. (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
