PENRO Isabela assesses NGP graduated sites

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) - Isabela, in coordination with the Forest Management Bureau (FMB), started the conduct of assessment on the status of the National Greening Program that was implemented in the province.

The assessment and inventory in the province were led by PENR Officer Orly Cariazo held at Pinaroc Hall at the PENRO Isabela.

Cariazo said the assessment aims to determine the current stocking density of the reported number of seedlings planted and the NGP implementation gaps and possible interventions to reconcile records or proper recording.

Forest Resources Conservation Division Chief Ma. Teresa G. Aquino discussed the scope of the scheduled pilot testing on proper recording and reconciliation.

“The conduct of the assessment is to develop manual and tools not only on the technical side but also on financial aspects to reconcile the reported NGP accomplishments and status of established plantations in the book of accounts,” Aquino said.

The NGP team of PENRO Isabela will be conducting a ten-day thorough Document Review on Physical and Financial, and Field Work on the Pilot Testing sites, specifically in St. Magoli, Tumauini, and DepEd San Pablo, Cauayan, within the turf of CENRO Cabagan, and Cauayan, respectively.

The orientation was attended by the  PENRO and CENROs NGP Focal person, Technical and Management Services Division Chiefs, Regional and FMB staff, and PENRO In-charge sub-office Roxas. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
