QUEZON CITY, (PIA) --No child should be silenced, abused, or exploited, the Council for the Welfare of Children stressed.
Thus, the CWC launches MAKABATA HELPLINE 1383 during the 30th National Children's Month (NCM) celebration last November 3, 2022.
It aims to establish a mechanism to provide quick response, monitor, and feedback on child rights reports received via phone, email, and social media platforms.
The MAKABATA 1383 Helpline, which stands for “MAhalin at KAlingain ating mga BATA,” ensures they have someone to report to. To create a society where children are safeguarded and given agency, the Makabata Helpline will coordinate, refer, track, and offer feedback.
WHO CAN REPORT?
ANY INDIVIDUAL may directly report any concern or violation of a child's rights via phone/telephone calls, emails, and social media platforms.
The person reporting does not have to be the victim or complainant as long as they are aware of the incident.
Children are also encouraged to call the helpline and report any instances of child abuse.

1. Physical
