PAGADIAN CITY, Nov 7 (PIA)—The Police Regional Office -IX will undergo the evaluation process for the institutionalization stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS).
This was disclosed by Major Herminigildo Bajao, Jr, the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSPPO) during the weekly 'Kapihan Program' at DXPR radio station on Sunday.
Bajao said that PRO-9 is one of the units of the PNP in the whole country that will undergo the institutionalization stage, the fourth and last stage after it has passed the initiation, compliance and proficiency stage in the implementation of the PGS in the past three years.
"The initiation stage is a process that the national validation team will validate if the breakthrough results and the vision and mission of the unit to provide good management and quality services to the community have been fulfilled," Bajao announced.
The validation team led by retired Gen. Camilo Cascolan, the former PNP chief and current Undersecretary of the Department of Health (DOH) is scheduled to arrive in Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Sur next week to validate with internal and external stakeholders the impact of the PRO9 programs on the community.
Bajao added that the validation team will also visit the units of the ZSPPO, Aurora Municipal Police Station, and Pagadian City Police Station where they will conduct an interview with the technical working group that includes the various section chiefs of the PNP and of the Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD).
It can be recalled that the ZSPPO received a "Silver Eagle Award" for completing the compliance stage in 2018 and it also received a "Gold Eagle Award" after garnering an over-all rating of 95.04 for completing the efficiency stage in 2019.
Through the PGS program, Bajao is optimistic that the vision of the PNP that by the year 2030 it will become a highly capable, effective, and credible police service working in partnership with a responsive community so that it can have a safe place to live, work, and place for business, will be achieved.
