Nagtipunan’s ‘Kuya Noel’ bares upcoming infra projects

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The local chief executive of Nagtipunan town has announced that the municipal government has allotted funds for the construction of various infrastructure projects such as public market, slaughter house, trading center among others.

Mayor Noel T. Lim, whom his constituents call “Kuya Noel”, has assured the Nagtipuneros that their dream pubic market will soon be constructed at Barangay Dipantan.

According to Mayor Noel T. Lim, one of the priority projects of the LGU when it comes to infrastructure is the construction of the Nagtipunan Public Market.

“We allotted P50 million for the construction of our public market and we are already preparing for the bidding process,” Lim said adding that the groundbreaking is already scheduled next month.

According to Mayor Lim, they chose Barangay Dipantan being the center point and because of its accessibility to those who are traveling to and from Aurora Province and with nearby Maddela barangays such as Abbag, Dipintin, and Cabaruan.

“We prioritized the project because we saw the hardships of our town mates in traveling to the nearby municipalities to buy their needs especially during the pandemic,” Lim added.

As a support facility for the public market, the local government also allotted P15.2 million for the construction of its slaughter house with the support of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) which provided P15.2 million as counterpart.

Mayor Lim also said the construction of Nagtipunan Trading Center (NATC) is now underway through the support of the DA-RO2 which provided P 15million for the said trading center construction.

Furthermore, Lim said the municipal government also funded the renovation of Municipal Economic Tourism Lounge Phase V, worth of 25 million. (TCB/PIA Quirino)
