LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA) - -Farm machineries worth more than P1 million were provided to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Aguinaldo town by the Department of Agrarian Reform.
The Php1,236,500.00 worth machineries consisting of a water pump, a 50 Hp tractor, and a corn seeder were awarded to the Monggayang – Pinto Agrarian Reform Farmers Organization (MPARFO) under the Major Crop-based Block Farm Productivity Enhancement (MCBBFPE) last November 10.
MCBBFPE is a project for the area where ARBs and non-ARBs are individually or collectively engaged in the production of major crops such as rice, corn, bananas, pineapple, and vegetables.
During the turnover ceremony, the Trust Agreement between the DAR and the MPARFO was signed The agreement consists of the duties and responsibilities of the agency and the organization.
MPARFO President Joseph Oman thanked DAR for the equipment assistance and assured that they will take good care of these and use them properly to be more productive.
DAR-Ifugao Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Raul C. Laluan enjoined the organization members to protect and manage properly the machineries they received and to continue praying that other offices will also provide assistance to them.
