BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently handed grocery items to several Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this town as part of their initiative to spur economic development in the countryside.
DTI Provincial Director Marietta Salviejo and Mayor Tony Sergio Bagasao awarded the livelihood kits worth P5,000 each to the selected MSMEs of barangays Salvacion, District 4 and Magsaysay.
Salviejo said the livelihood kits were given through their NEGOSYO Serbisyo sa Barangay program to help MSMEs to start their small businesses to earn.
Mayor Bagasao urged the beneficiaries to use their assistance to start – up their businesses and ensure its sustainability.
“Let us stop the ‘dole-out mentality’ and strive hard to earn a living. We will help each other so that our municipality will develop further,” he said. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
