CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - -The Provincial Government of Isabela has recently conferred with the 2022 Excellence Award for Governance and Leadership (EAGLE) Award while 15 Local Government Units passed the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) during the Regional EAGLE awards ceremony by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2.

The awarding ceremony was held on November 17, 2022 at Pulsar Hotel Grand Ballroom and Convention Center in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan where local chief executives from the region who passed the SGLG received their respective awards.

The provinces of Isabela and Quirino were the two provinces passed the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance after the intensive evaluation of the DILG.

The award was handed by DILG Assistant Secretary Atty. Odillon Pasaraba who represented DILG Secretary Atty. Benhur Abalos Jr.

Meanwhile, the LGUs that passed the Seal of Good Local Governance and awarded with the 2022 EAGLE awards were City of Ilagan, Santiago City, Cauayan City, the towns of Alicia, Angadanan, Aurora, Benito Soliven, Cabagan, Cordon, Delfin Albano, Divilacan, Echague, Luna, Mallig, Naguilian, Quirino, Roxas, San Mateo and Tumauini.

There were also 22 barangays in the province that received awards from DILG in various categories.

DILG Assistant Secretary Odilon Pasaraba congratulated the 2022 SGLG winners for their exemplary governance and leadership services to their constituents. He also urged the local governments to continue serving with utmost sincerity, integrity and dedication. (OTB/ MGE / PIA Isabela)
