But  there are  still  5,019 individuals ( 4.59 %) who are yet to complete their primary   series or the  second dose for 2-dose series.

PHO data  also show that  a total of 25,783(23.59%)   had received  their  booster doses. There were also  4,330(3.96%)  individuals  who received their  second booster dose.

For the report on COVID Vaccination, the Provincial Health Office of Mountain Province reported a total number of 98,518 or 90.15% of the total target number in Mountain Province has already been vaccinated.

The accumulated data showed that there are 5,019 or 4.59 % who are yet to complete their vaccination. A total of 25,783 or 23.59% are able to have booster doses while 4,330 or 3.96% had undergone second booster doses. Out of the target population of 109,278, there are 5,741 individuals who are still unvaccinated.

In line with this, the PHO is urging the people to complete their vaccination and given that if Mountain Province complies with the target number of vaccinated individuals, the province will be looking forward to the opening of Lang-ay Festival and other pertinent events.

Doris Cobaldez of the Provincial Veterinary Office(PVET) also  reported  updates on the African Swine Fever (ASF) situation in the province.

Cobaldez shared that   the province has four municipalities under ‘Pink Zone’ or the buffer zone. These are Barlig, Bauko, Sabangan and Tadian. The rest are under the ‘Red Zone’ or the infected zone.

These zones, which are determined by the National Zoning for ASF Cases in the Philippines, are defined and classified based on geographical limits established by the veterinary authorities upon identification of the Infected Zone and Quarantine Zone.

Cobaldez reported that Mountain Province has zero ASF case reported since September 2022.  

The PVET, she said,   is  continuously monitoring  and conducting rapid test for new suspected cases in the barangays , aside from  their  information, education and  communication  on farm biosecurity for awareness, prevention and control..(JDP/VJLT-PIA CAR, Mt. Province)
