The theme calls for the mitigation of the negative impact of false information, bolster public’s knowledge to make the people  less susceptible to the myths and inaccuracies surrounding illegal drugs, and intensify their resilience against the influence of drug use and to protect the most vulnerable sectors which include children and youth, people who used drugs, people with drug use disorders, and people who need access to controlled medicines, according to Alvarez.
