He said their support to their project paved the way for the recognitions they received from the 2022 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards (PMIEA) .

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – A mine firm executive in this town has lauded the support and efforts of the local community and its local government unit officials for the awards they have reaped during the recent Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) in Baguio City.

FCF Minerals president and chief executive officer Darren Bowden said the support of the Runruno community,  its leaders and the work that they do in partnership with their company have succeeded in  enhancing  the lives of the villagers.

FCF Minerals Corporation which operates the gold-molybdenum project in barangay Runruno in this town is one of the seven mining companies in the country that received  the 2022 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) on Surface Mining Operation Category.

The company was also conferred with Safest Surface Mining Operation Award as first runner-up and 3rd runner-up in the Best Mining Forest  Program Contest for metallic category.

“Without the support of our local officials and the support of the community,  we as a business would not meet the success we are today. Our vision at FCF is to be the most admired mining company in all the mining companies in the Philippines and I can say now that I believed we have achieved that goal,” Bowden said.

He also attributed their awards to the tireless dedication to excellence, hardwork and professionalism  of their employees and the guidance of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Mines and Geo-Sciences Bureau (DENR-MGB).

“Our strong and positive partnerships led us to achieve world class standards through responsible mining that will lead to a brighter future for the Philippines in the mining industry. Runruno is a shining example of responsible mining, enhancing the lives of their community while protecting and nurturing the environment,” Bowden said. (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
