BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Coffee farmers in the upland town of Ambaguio recently received facility assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
DTI Provincial Chief Marietta Salviejo said a P410,000-worth Coffee Roaster was given to the members of the Tiblac-Langak Farmers Association, Inc. (TLFAI) in Ambaguio town to further develop and promote the coffee industry in the province.
“This facility will help the TLFA in expanding their coffee production venture to meet the increasing demand for high-quality coffee beans in the province,” she said.
Salviejo said the assistance is part of the agency’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project which was given to the TLFAI as a cooperator for their Coffee Processing Facility Expansion.
She said the facility will help the TLFAI in increasing their production from 5 to 15 kilograms per batch.
Salviejo said two more facilities/equipments will soon be given to the TLFAI before the end of this year.
Mario Tayaban, TLFAI president, said the DTI’s assistance will surely help them in expanding their business and encourage the whole community to be part of their processing and post-processing activities. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
