BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - National and provincial government officials and employees recently conducted a ‘Pulot Basura’ activity within the provincial capitol as part of the Environmental Awareness Month celebration.

Provincial Administrator Maybelle Blossom Dumlao-Sevillena said the ‘Pulot Basura sa Loob ng Kapitolyo’ aims to raise awareness among government workers on the proper segregation and dumping of solid waste within their respective work places.

“This was also  intended to help maintain the cleanliness of the provincial capitol and reinforce the knowledge and practices of the civil servants on waste management and disposal,” she said.

Dumlao-Sevillena said the activity also reinforces the earlier issuance of an advisory dubbed “Basura Mo, Iuwi Mo” which aims to address the  emerging problem of improper segregation of wastes within the provincial capitol which only covers personal trash/garbage of employees.

She thanked the participants of the recent ‘Pulot Basura’ campaign as it was a clear  manifestation of unity of intention and action for the environment. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
