VIGAN CITY (PIA) – Recipients of the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) have expressed their support and gratitude to the government for various assistance they have received.
 
In Barangay Baluarte, Salcedo, Ilocos Sur, residents are enjoying a better and wider farm-to-market road, more equipped barangay health center, public toilet for men and women, and a school building for kindergarten students.
 
This after the construction of such infrastructures were recently completed and inaugurated.

With the construction of the kindergarten building, Divina Galleta, Teacher III at Baluarte Elementary School, said she saw a great change from the learning capability of her pupils as the old kindergarten classroom was too narrow for them to learn and play around before.
 
“Malaki ang naitulong ng bagong school building kasi iyong dati ay masikip kasi kindergarten ang mga mag-aaral namin dapat ay spacious ang kailangan nila,” Galleta said in an interview during the inauguration of SBDP 2021 infrastructure projects on November 11.
 
She then expressed her gratitude to the government for providing them with a wider and better classroom which is conducive for the pupil’s learning.
 
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) dahil mas malawak na ngayon ang school building para sa mga kindergarten at talagang conducive ang learning ng mga bata,” she added.

Aside from the inauguration of such infrastructure projects in Barangay Baluarte, the construction of a 170-meter long and five-meter wide farm-to-market road was started at Barangay Sorioan in Salcedo as one of the barangay-recipients of SBDP for fiscal year 2022.
