Balaoan, La Union turns over new police station

SAN FERNANDO CITY (PIA) – The local government of Balaoan turned over the newly-established Philippine Nationa Police building on November 24.


Balaoan Municipal Mayor Aleli Concepcion welcomed PBGen. John Chua, regional director of Police Regional Office 1 who spearheaded the inauguration and blessing ceremonies.


“This is a fresh start to our community, now that we have really constructed Balaoan Police Station kaya sana po ay making legacy ito para proteksyunan ng PNP ang bayan ng Balaoan,” Mayor Concepcion said. 


Meanwhile, Chua expressed the police force’s commitment in his message saying, “The inauguration of the new building of Balaoan Police will serve as an inspiration and commitment of our kapulisan to sustain our affirmative response to the call of public service.”

The municipal government of Balaoan led by Mayor Aleli Concepcion with the PRO1 regional director and La Union Police provincial director turned over the newly-established PNP headquarter in Balaoan, La Union on November 24.

“I would like also to take this opportunity to call for the further strengthening of our harmonious relationship to the community to be united and stand against criminality,” he added. 


On the other hand, PMaj. Lawrence Ganuelas, Balaoan Chief of Police, extended his gratitude for the support of the local government for the construction of the new  PNP station.


“This long-awaited dream came into reality through partnership and collaboration of different officed concerned:  the PRO1, La Union Police Provincial Office, Department of Public Works and Highways, and LGU Balaoan which donated this lot,” said Ganuelas.


He added, ”Rest assured na papangalagaan namin at ituturing naming pangalawang tahanan at magsisilbi sa mga taong lumalapit na nakangiti.”
