LAOAG CITY (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) establishes its 20th Negosyo Center in Ilocos Norte located in Pasuquin town on November 23.

The Negosyo Center in Pasuquin is the 82nd in the Ilocos region and 1348th nationwide.

During the launching of the center, Leah May Buenavides, Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist of DTI-Ilocos Norte, local entrepreneurs may visit the hub to avail of services of the agency such as business name registration or renewal, business counselling, information materials, and product development.

“Kapag nandito na po ang negosyo center, hindit nito pababayaan ang mga nagnenegosyo. Tutulungan niya po tayo umangat sa ating buhay,” said Buenavides.

Negosyo Centers provide entrepreneurial assistance for potential and existing local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

As the guest of honor and speaker, Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, who was represented by Senior Board Member Rafael Chua Medina, recognized the importance of the establishment of the said facility in the communities, especially to the MSMEs.

“We have proven that giving opportunities such as this Negosyo Center is important in harnessing the potential of our local products and providing wider markets for local entrepreneurs, most especially to Pasuquin to promote their products,” said the vice governor.

She further encourages full support in the development of local products and patronizes the best products made by Ilokano entrepreneurs.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers is stipulated in the Go Negosyo Act that aims to bring the various business services of DTI closer to all MSMEs, especially in the countryside. (JCR/JPD/MJTAB,PIA Ilocos Norte)
