PIA to celebrate ‘Christmas around the world’

QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- Christmas festivities are among the celebration that everyone is always looking forward to during the holiday season. In fact, the Philippines is considered to have the longest celebration. In anticipation, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) prepares a line of activities leading to the annual big event which will be tagged as the PIA Christmas Salo-Salo and PRAISE Awarding on December 16, 2022.

Each Division and Office house in the PIA Central Office will also participate in the ‘Deck the Wall: Christmas around the World’ decoration contest. The resourcefulness and creativity of everyone will be tested as they decorate their façade in accordance with the traditions and celebrations of Christmas in different parts of the world. Countries included are The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Mexico, Thailand, New Zealand, Canada, Venezuela, Germany, Sweden, Vietnam, South Africa, and the Philippines.

Meanwhile, acknowledging the importance of the health and wellness of the employees, Wellness Week will jumpstart the 2 weeks-long celebrations in the agency.

On December 1, a Zumba activity will be held in the PIA Lobby to promote physical activity and the health of every employee. For beauty wellness, facials, massages, manicures, and pedicures are free to avail starting on December 1 until December 2 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm sponsored by Derm Factor Salon and Spa Services.

A learning session entitled ‘Mental Wellness: Life Balance’ will be held on December 5 with key speaker Brother Obet Cabrillas, a motivational speaker and transformational coach, who will underscore the importance of balance in work and life.

Lastly, employees can shop for various goods during the PIA 'Christmas in our Hearts Bazaar 2022' starting December 5 until December 15.
