BALANGA CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over a multipurpose facility at barangay Palihan in Hermosa, Bataan which will serve as office of the village’s Senior Citizen Association.
The P4.94 million building was implemented by DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineering Office.
District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said the infrastructure was built inside a compound where the barangay hall and a day care center are also situated.
“With its completion, we are optimistic that the delivery of social services to the residents, especially the senior citizens of Palihan, will be enhanced,” he added.
Punong Barangay Lamberto Suelto said the 144-square meter facility is equipped with ramps for persons with disabilities, office spaces, toilets and a pantry.
The project was implemented under DPWH’s Basic Infrastructure Program with funds sourced from the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
