CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - A total of 228 couples have exchanged marriage vows in a mass wedding sponsored by the Local Government Unit of Tumauini.
Mayor Venus Bautista served as the solemnizing officer during the mass wedding held on December 9, 2022 at the Tumauini Cultural and Sports Center.
The mass wedding is guided by the theme “A Vow for Tomorrow and Beyond.”
Bautista said the mass wedding validates the union of unwed couples after a long period of cohabitation and to legitimize the civil status of their children.
She said the LGU urged the unwed couples in the town to avail of the free mass wedding programs to legalize their union in a sponsored rites, venue and reception.
The couples’ families, relatives and the LGU Tumauini officials served as principal sponsors.
